Happy is the person who avoids fools. Greater indeed is the joy of one who associates with the awakened.

Long is the road for those who travel with fools. It is like consorting with an enemy. But those who tread the Dharma Path find a family among the wise and live in delight.

Happily do we follow those who practice the teachings and see into the true nature of life. We follow them as eagerly as the moon follows the stars.

Amusements

Do not give yourself to passing amusements. Devote yourself to meditation and free your mind from the bonds of craving. In pursuing pleasure or avoiding pain there is only suffering and envy of those who follow the Dharma.
